Don't Vote for Me!
Dear Peace and Freedom Party Voter,
My name will be listed on your June 3, 2008, primary ballot for Assembly District 9. However, I am requesting that you do not vote for me. Instead, I am asking that you vote for C. T. Weber, the Peace and Freedom Party North State Chair.
As you may know C. T. was the chair of the Statewide Registration Committee which made history when Peace and Freedom Party became the first party to be removed from the California ballot for more than one election and then re-qualified. Some 50,000 people registered into the Peace and Freedom Party during this successful drive.
Now we want to make history again, and you can be part of that effort. We need your help in conducting a successful write-in campaign where our write-in candidate actually receives more valid votes than someone on the ballot. Then we can go to court and have section 8605 of the California Election Code declared unconstitutional. This will be good for all parties because the current law keeps serious write-in candidates off the general election ballot by interfering in our direct primary process and it is in conflict with another section of the code which states that the person with the most votes in the primary is the nominee of the party and placed on the general election ballot. Please follow the instructions, do not vote for me, fill in the bubble beside the blank line, and on that blank line write-in
C. T. Weber
Thank you. Yours for Peace and Freedom,
Gerald Frink
